The Brief

After the Upgrade, the Dashboard Complained

An installer channel fought dashboard bulb-out warnings after HID upgrades. The vehicles' CAN systems read the new lamps as failed bulbs, and the retrofit had to work across a list of vehicle families rather than one model.

What We Built

Match the Load the Car Expects

Load simulation

Decoder load matched per vehicle family, so the CAN system reads the lamp as present.

Sealed leads

Sealed terminations for engine-bay positions — splash and condensation, not just dry cabin.

One part number per family

The vehicle list mapped to a finite set of harness part numbers.

Sample approval first

Each family validated on samples before the batch run.

Outcome

Warning-Free Retrofits, Repeatable Builds

On the vehicle

  • Warning-free retrofits across the vehicle list.
  • One harness part number per family instead of cut-and-pray wiring.

In the channel

  • Installer-safe kits: keyed, sealed and labeled.
  • Repeat orders run against the approved sample.
